Insensatez - by Jobim, played by the Brazil You Never Heard feat. Gretchen Parlato
This one is like Bernard Herrmann scoring a Hitchcock film where Antonio Carlos Jobim was the main character and Gretchen Parlato was the femme fatale.
This track is part of an EP we released in 2014 called Behind Jobim, I'm finally putting it here for all to enjoy. Keep an eye out, this group will have new releases soon...I wrote the arrangement/orchestration and played guitar on it, Léo Costa and I produced it. There's quite a cast of lovely and talented people on the project:
Gretchen Parlato - voice
Katisse Buckingham - flute
Brian Walsh - clarinet
Amy Sanchez - french horn
Garrett Smith - trombone
Daphne Chen, Marisa Kuney, Katie Sloan - violins
Miguel Atwood-Ferguson Thom Lea - violas
Artyom Manukyan, Claire Courchene - cellos
Marcel Camargo - guitar
André de Sant'Anna - bass
Léo Costa - drums and percussion
Marcos "Gibi" dos Santos - percussion
Alberto Lopez - percussion
Recording Engineers: Joel Soyffer, Alberto Lopez, André de Sant'Anna, Léo Costa and Lynne Earls
